Congratulations to the Winners of the Social Innovation Video Contest!
Congratulations and thank you to every organization who participated by submitting a video to the Social Innovation Video Contest. We had close to 150 video submissions from over 30 countries around the world, addressing every type of social challenge. From sanitation to clean water, solar energy to human rights, we received an amazingly diverse and inspiring collection of videos!
With close to 5,000 votes cast, McKinsey & Company’s Social Innovation Practice is thrilled to announce Embrace, Apopo: HeroRATS and sOccket as the winning videos in the Social Innovation Video Contest. McKinsey would also like to congratulate Duto: IRIS for being named Fan Favorite Video!
As part of this Social Innovation initiative we have brought together thought leaders from across the social innovation spectrum. Starting November 15, McKinsey’s What Matters publication will include essays from: Mayor Michael Bloomberg on city innovation, Matt Damon & Gary White on water, Judin Rodin President of the Rockefeller Foundation, and many others. These essays will appear on our What Matters website and will continue to develop the discussion around social innovation.
